The rebrand of Doosan construction equipment to DEVELON happened because of the purchase agreement between the Doosan Group and HD Hyundai.
The Doosan Group remains a viable company separate from the business unit purchased by HD Hyundai. The new name represents the company’s vision to develop onward and grow as a global leader in construction equipment.
The DEVELON brand of construction equipment is owned by HD Hyundai and managed by HD Hyundai Infracore, a subsidiary of HD Hyundai.
DEVELON crawler, wheel and mini excavators, log loaders, material handlers, wheel loaders, dozers and compact track loaders are manufactured in South Korea. DEVELON articulated dump trucks (ADTs) are manufactured in Norway.
The company entered the North American market in 1991. Since then, the company has expanded its presence throughout the United States and Canada by building a robust dealer network.

Each new DEVELON machine comes with an Operation & Maintenance Manual and an Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) safety manual. Decals affixed to the machines provide additional instructions for operating the construction equipment.
