DEVELON designs road builders for durability in the most challenging work environments. Guarding on the upper structure protects key components and access points, including hydraulic and cooling system access doors, the cab, hydraulic cylinders and undercarriage. DEVELON also offers an optional side- or rear-entry forestry cab that is certified for Oregon OSHA and British Columbia WCB standards.

Service Made Simple

DEVELON road builders offer extended maintenance intervals and easy access to service points, which increases machine uptime and operator productivity. Maintenance features include:

Large-capacity engine-air precleaner that removes more than 99% of airborne particles and extends filter cartridge service life

Protection and Peace of Mind

DEVELON road builders feature a high and wide undercarriage, which makes traversing over stumps easier. Tracks feature heavy-duty links with double grouser shoes and reinforced front and full-length track guarding. DEVELON also incorporates special clean-out brackets with the top rollers to reduce the risk of materials becoming lodged inside.

The optional boom and arm lock valve safely secures the boom and arm in place in the event of a hose rupture.

Command Comfortably

When you’re comfortable, you’re productive. That’s why DEVELON road builders feature an all-weather steel cab with a reclining and heated and cooled air-suspension seat that adjusts to your height and weight. The seat also features adjustable headrests and armrests and an optional 4-point seat belt. To reduce fatigue caused by engine noise, DEVELON has also incorporated sound-suppression technology into the cab.

Stay in Complete Control

Like the seat, the joystick controls adjust to match your preference. The controls can move up and down for more ergonomic operation, which reduces operator fatigue. Road builder operators can quickly change from ISO to BHL control patterns using the pattern change valve.

A Clear View of Productivity

A standard rotating beacon enhances the road builder’s visibility on busy job sites or when working in low light conditions. A multi-function color LCD screen shows a variety of machine information, including operation history, flow rate control and filter/oil information. This display also receives video from the standard rearview and side view cameras.
