Combining strength and precision, the DEVELON DX300LL-5 log loader is ready for all-day forestry work. It features a fully guarded, heavy-duty undercarriage and upper structure designed specifically for forestry applications.
The DX300LL-5 is equipped with a high-walker undercarriage design. Tracks feature heavy-duty links with double grouser shoes and full-length track guiding guards. The DX300LL-5 has heavy-duty top rollers with special clean-out brackets.
The upper structure offers mainframe reinforcement, full under-house plate guarding, integral catwalks, heavy-duty side doors with guarding over the hydraulic pump and cooling system access doors, and undercarriage guarding. The cab features a 4-foot riser with guarding and hydraulic tilt for transport. Other design innovations include an improved heel design and improved front, boom, and cab guards.
The optional side-entry forestry cab is certified for Oregon OSHA and British Columbia WCB standards. It features a guarded polycarbonate front window, polycarbonate side and rear windows and a rear secondary exit.
An intelligently designed cab makes it easy to focus on your work. You're surrounded by more foot space, better visibility, and automatic air conditioning with adjustable airflow. Work comfortably with the standard air suspension seat and simple controls.
To help save diesel fuel, auto-shutdown comes standard. When enabled, the feature will shut down the loader’s engine when the preset idle time is met. Operators can configure the idle time from 3 to 60 minutes.
The larger, world-class cabin combines superior comfort, excellent visibility, low noise levels and a roomy environment. The reclining, height- and weight adjustable standard suspension seat has a headrest and adjustable armrest along with easier controls. Work naturally with the optional air suspension seat and simple controls. Enter and exit easily through the larger door opening.
The high-pressure common rail fuel injected engine teams with the EPOS (Electronic Power Optimizing System) for optimum power and fuel savings. The EPOS provides four work modes, auto-idle and machine diagnostics. It works more effectively with multiple operating modes, easy to read display and precise control levers.
A standard 7-in. color LCD display provides helpful maintenance and monitoring information. It displays video from the standard rear-view or optional side view cameras, which are uniquely placed to give you better visibility. A hybrid screen mode enables you to see machine information and the camera at the same time.
Extended maintenance intervals and easy access to service points increase machine uptime and productivity. Examples include centralized grease points, wide side access doors for cleaning the cooling system, boom pivot bushings with greasing intervals, and a large-capacity engine air precleaner that removes more than 99 percent of airborne particles and extends filter cartridge service life. Monitor your DEVELON heavy equipment and management maintenance to reduce operating costs with MY DEVELON fleet management.
To reach Tier 4 emissions standards, models incorporate a high-pressure common-rail (HPCR) fuel delivery system with cooled exhaust gas recirculation (CEGR). Models also include a variable geometry turbocharger (VGT) and mass air flow (MAF) sensor. Additionally, an exhaust brake is combined with a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) to transform particulate matter emissions into harmless water and carbon dioxide. Other technologies include an evaporative module, selective catalyst reduction (SCR) and diesel exhaust fluid (DEF). Read about our Tier 4 technologies to learn more.
The durable DX300LL-5 road builder configuration gives operators the power to pioneer new tracts of land quickly and efficiently. The fully guarded, heavy-duty undercarriage and frame structure are engineered for the most challenging forest applications. Featuring a standard excavator cab for lower and easier transport and a high, wide undercarriage for better ground clearance, the DX300LL-5 road builder is built to traverse tough terrain. The road builder’s boom and arm enable operators to utilize traditional excavator attachments, including buckets, thumbs and hydraulic quick couplers.
