The 47-hp (net) DX42-7 conventional tail swing model delivers the power, maneuverability and versatility you expect from a DEVELON mini excavator.
Ideally sized for digging, lifting, backfilling and working in crowded or confined work areas, it features fast cycle times, efficient torque-limiting piston pumps that respond to load demands, and a larger counterweight to improve balance and durability.
As with all -7 Series mini excavators, a powerful telematics system is standard. MY DEVELON fleet management monitors the machine’s location, health and productivity from a user-friendly website or mobile app.
The DX42-7 is designed to maximize productivity on the most demanding jobsites.
The thumb-ready arm, a standard feature on -7 Series mini excavators, includes durable thumb mounts integrated into the arm — no welding is required to add a thumb. The DX42-7 also features a hydraulic quick-coupler-ready design with hydraulic piping installed at the end of the arm — no additional accessories are needed to install a compatible quick coupler.
The optional four-way angle blade tilts and turns for more efficient backfilling.
Optional rotating piping is available for use with a tiltrotator attachment.
A long list of standard and optional features are available with operators in mind.
Choose from open canopy or enclosed cab configurations. Enclosed cab models come standard with heating and air conditioning system and hands-free Bluetooth® audio. The air conditioning system offers multiple vents throughout the cab for improved airflow and premium comfort.
For easier operation, the standard pattern change valve allows you to choose the control pattern you prefer — ISO or BHL.
Two-way hydraulic flow without pedal is standard and ideal for mini excavator attachments that need bidirectional flow.
Today’s complex jobsites require improved visibility and safety features, and the DX42-7 delivers.
You have an improved view of the jobsite thanks to a framed full-glass door, an optional rearview camera and high-illumination LED lamps to ensure that you can see the work group.
A standard travel alarm provides more awareness that your machine is moving or operating on the jobsite. An optional rotating beacon is available for enhanced safety when working in high-traffic areas or low-light situations.
